11:11 a.m. Friday — A black, 17-year-old male escaped from employees of Summit Academy while at a medical appointment on West Cunningham Street. He is 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighs 150 pounds, has black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing khaki pants, a light blue dress shirt and a red and blue tie. Anyone seeing someone match that description should call 911.4:58 a.m. Friday — Thomas Waldenville, 42, of Butler was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant from Indiana County and cited for public drunkenness after police found him lying on a porch on Virginia Avenue.11:53 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by James McPaul, 43, of Butler struck landscape ties in the parking lot of Cammisa’s Auto Body on North Monroe Street. He was not injured, but was charged with driving under the influence and driving without a license.9:02 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by John Kirk, 58, of Worthington and a car driven by Sara Shumaker, 25, of Petrolia collided at the intersection of Walker and Mackey avenues. Kirk was cited for a stop sign violation. He complained about pain from a back injury and was treated at the scene by Butler Ambulance. Shumaker was not hurt.3:58 p.m. Wednesday — Brittnee Jewel Walker, 20, of Butler was cited for driving with a suspended license after her car struck a parked vehicle owned by Robert Blom on Virginia Avenue.2:47 p.m. Wednesday — A vehicle driven by Marc Blodgett, 20, of Butler struck the rear of a car driven by Verna Vargo, 79, of Butler on West New Castle Street. None of the occupants of either vehicle was injured. Blodgett was cited for following too closely.1:13 p.m. Wednesday — Denise Scott, 27, of Butler was cited for dogs running at large after her two pets, a bull mastiff and a bulldog, chased a mailman down the street outside of her residence at 215 Walker Ave.9:44 a.m. Monday — Susan Dettore, 55, of Butler reported theft of a blue case containing $2 in change from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked overnight outside 217 Summit St.8:10 a.m. Monday — Barbara Jordan of Butler reported the theft of a $70 Breathalyzer and a $200 Sirius Satellite Sportster radio from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked overnight outside her residence at 554 Bredin St.3 a.m. May 2 — A tractor-trailer driven by Lawrence Niezgoda, 46, of Mount Pleasant apparently struck a parked vehicle owned by Jennifer Parker, 30, of Butler while it was parked on Fourth Street. Although no one witnessed the accident, Butler Memorial Hospital records indicate the tractor-trailer owned by Owens & Mino of Greensburg was the only large vehicle entering the hospital loading area at that time. The company faxed information to police but reported finding no damage to its truck.
2:11 a.m. Friday — Laura Uhlman, 25, of Petrolia was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 8.State Police, Butler2:30 a.m. Saturday — Someone cut the tires of vehicles owned by Kip Huffman, 43, of Zelienople and Todd Armstrong, 52, of Leechburg while they were parked off Bear Run Drive in Moraine State Park in Muddy Creek Township. Huffman’s tires were valued at $360 while Armstrong’s were valued at $300. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.12:10 a.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Chad Caldwell, 23, of Butler wrecked on Route 68 in Oakland Township. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and numerous traffic violations.8:20 p.m. Thursday — Mark Crawford, 25, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.11:50 p.m. Wednesday — William Rodgers, 43, who had no listed address, was charged with simple assault after allegedly hitting Debbie Wimer, 44, several times during an altercation. He was jailed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond and was subsequently released.
2:25 p.m. Tuesday — Someone fired a yellow paintball that struck the passenger side rear window of a Ford Escape driven by Mary Hancock, 58, of Freeport on Route 28 in O’Hara Township, Allegheny County. The vehicle was not damaged.State Police,LawrenceFriday — Someone smashed the windows out of an excavator owned by Carmen Construction of South Park while it was parked at the Kennedy Bridge construction site on Frew Mill Road between 3:15 p.m. Thursday and 7:45 a.m. Friday.
