Charles 'Jud' Bartley

Charles R. "Jud" Bartley, 95, of East Brady died Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 7, 1911, in East Brady, he was the son of Leverton M. and Edith P. Crawford Bartley.

He had worked for the Clarion Fruit Co. for five years, and had been in sales management for the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Clarion for 31 years. He also had been a deputy sheriff in Clarion County for 16 years and had been a security officer for Clarion County for 10 years.

Mr. Bartley was a member of the United Methodist Church, East Brady.

Surviving are two sons, Russell L. Bartley of Clarion and Charles Joseph Bartley of Piney Township, Clarion County; a daughter, Barbara L. Bartley of Huey, Clarion County; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Evanek Bartley; a son, George Bartley, and a sister, Verna Pearl Huff.

<B>Bartley </B>— Friends of Charles R. "Jud" Bartley, who died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Russell, his church pastor, officiating. Private burial will be at the Miola Cemetery, Highland Township, Clarion County.
