Marianne J. Vensel
Marianne Jones Vensel, 47, of Rockville, Md., died Nov. 23 in Rockville.
She was born Nov. 17, 1959, in Burien, Wash.
As a child, she moved with her family to Springfield in Delaware County, Pa. She graduated from the Springfield school system and went to Pennsylvania State University, where she was graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
She spent most of her career working in the satellite news business and met her husband, Glenn Eric Vensel, when they were employed at the Reuters News Service, Washington, D.C. They were married Sept. 27, 1996, in Comus, Md., and made their home in Rockville.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mont and Mary Jones of Mesa, Ariz., and brothers Tracey (Sharon) of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Meredith (Tanya) of North Palm Beach, Fla. Each brother has two children.
Also surviving are Glenn's parents, Howard and Norma; his brothers, Leonard (Brenda) and Jim (Ronda); and a sister Barbara Stewart (Denny). Each sibling has two children. All live in the Butler area.
<B>VENSEL </B>— A private graveside service for Marianne Jones Vensel, who died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, will be held at the Mount Chestnut Cemetery, Franklin Township, with the Rev. David Panther, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.
