BC3 seeks distinguished alumni
BUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the 2006 BC3 Distinguished Alumni Awards.
The awards recognize former BC3 students who have made outstanding contributions in their profession and have demonstrated a commitment to community service.
This past year's honorees included Shelley Duffy, KDKA's morning news program co-host; Paul Kengor, Ph.D., New York Times best selling author and political science professor at Grove City College; David Knapp, Ph.D., president of Clear Ideas Consulting and marathon runner; Patty Paytas, vice president of communications for the Pittsburgh Pirates; and Nick Toubakaris, retired president and manager of O.H. Nicholas Transfer and Storage and community volunteer.
Eligible candidates for the 2006 BC3 Distinguished Alumni Award must be nominated by another person, have completed a minimum of 30 credits at BC3 and have distinguished themselves in their chosen profession. Candidates must also provide evidence of volunteer service to their community and be able to attend the award ceremony on Oct. 21. Those who are current BC3 employees or active on any BC3 board are not eligible for application.
