Violet C. Christy, 75, of West Sunbury died at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday at the Grove City Medical Center.

Born May 21, 1931, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of and V. Claire Kennedy Cuff and the late Charles P. Cuff.

Surviving are her mother of Clearwater, Fla.; six sons, Michael Gaito of Boston, Charles Gaito of California, Martin Gaito of North Little Rock, Ark., and James D., Arnold B. and Terry L. Christy, all of West Sunbury; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She also is survived by two sisters, Patricia A. Tedesco of Clearwater, Fla., and Mrs. Harry (Mary Jane) Gibson of Dover, Del.; and two brothers, James Cuff of Texas and Charles Cuff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Dean Christy, who died Feb. 15, 2002; a brother; a sister and a brother-in-law.

<B>CHRISTY </B>— Friends of Violet C. Christ, who died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Willard Morse officiating.
