The Northern Steel Soccer Club played in the Icebreakers Tournament near Richmond, Va., last weekend.

Some of its game results follow:

• The under-16 boys battled the Richmond Strikers White to a 1-1 tie. Todd Pindroh scored the Northern Steel goal and goalkeeper Pat Hamilton made a number of saves to preserve the tie. The FCRichmond Magic then defeated Northern Steel, 3-0.

Northern Steel defeated Chesterfield United Premier 2-1 as Bobby McKinney and Pindroh scored for the winners.

• The under-13 girls dropped a 2-0 decision to the Beach FCPiranhas, then dropped a 2-1 decision to the Thunder SCNomads. Emma Robash scored the lone goal in the loss.

Northern Steel then defeated Foothills Fusion 1-0 with Taylor Bombalski scoring the lone goal.

• The under-14 boys lost their three games by scores of 2-0, 2-0 and 4-1. Frankie Maiolo scored their lone goal.
