YOUTH HOCKEY

Joshua Oliver and Luke Gross had three goals apiece to lead the Armstrong Arrows Mite A Major hockey team to a 10-2 victory over the State College Juniors Icers recently at the Belmont Arena.

Nick Long, Nate Grafton, Taylor Smouse and Zane Wichowski also scored while Jamie Contrael had four assists, Gross two assists and Long, Oliver, Donovan Wichowski and Michael Lhote one apiece.

Coby Toy was the winning keeper for the Arrows.

The Arrows followed up with a 7-2 triumph over the Icers the following day.

Long had three goals, while Gross, Oliver, Contrael and Donovan Wichowski also scored.

Zane Wichowski, Donovan Wichowski, Contrael, Long and Coby Toy added assists while Smouse won in goal for the Arrows (8-7-1).

The Arrows peppered the Crawford County Flames with 35 shots and came away with a 3-3 tie at the Belmont Complex.Tim McConahy scored his first goal of the year while Troy Nemeth and Tyler Crissman also scored for the Arrows (3-10-5).Cameron Coccia and Cory Norton had two assists each and Connor Cole added one assist.
