BC3 Cultural Center offers artist's show
BUTLER TWP - The Butler County Community College Cultural Center will feature the works of artist Cory Finnie in her first one-woman show in the Mary Hulton Phillips Gallery, with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Finnie will show 30 drawings and paintings done over the past two years. An art student at Slippery Rock University, she has studied art in Florida and Pittsburgh, according to a BC3 news release.
According to the artist, her work is reflective of her life. The human form and landscape are often found in her work. She uses wild colors and harsh marks to create movement, energy and life.
The exhibit continues through Sept. 16 at the gallery in the Science and Technology Building on the first floor near the Succop Theater.
The opening reception is free. For information, contact the BC3 Cultural Center at 724-284-8505.
