The Butler Eagle sports department seeking reader input for its weekly youth sports page, which will consist of subject matter pertaining to all youth sports: baseball, football, basketball, hockey, soccer, swimming, trapshooting, golf, cheerleading, tae kwon do, bowling, etc.

Discovery Sports will host a football camp this summer for children ages 6 to 13 as of Aug. 1, 2004. Guest speaker will be Kendall Simmons of the Pittsburgh Steelers.The camp will run Monday through next Friday at St. Ferdinand Church in Cranberry Township. Signups for the Butler Area Midget Football League will be held July 23 and 30 from 9 a.m. to noon at Memorial Park.Players must reside in the Butler Area School District and can be ages 9 to 14. A series of camps will be held at the Butler High School football practice field in the coming weeks.A quarterback receiving camp will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Geneva College will host World Cup Soccer camps for boys and girls, under the leadership of Tornadoes coach Dave Murray.Sessions are: June 19 to 23 and June 26 to 30 for ages 8 to 13; July 10 to 14 for ages 12 to 17 and July 17 to 21 for ages 13 to 17.Cost is $345 for each resident camper, which includes accommodations at the college.
