Cynthia T. West

Cynthia T. Pusateri West, 42, of New Castle died Sunday morning at her home.

Born April 17, 1961, in Coraopolis, she was the daughter of Samuel A. Pusateri and the late Marion L. Auth Pusateri.

She received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Clarion University and had been an elementary school teacher for the Baltimore City Public School System in Maryland. She also had taught in the Butler Catholic Schools.

Mrs. West was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church of New Castle and was a CCD teacher at the church.

Surviving are her husband, J. Michael West, whom she married Dec. 2, 1989; two sons, Joseph and Michael West, both at home; her father of Butler; two brothers, Paul Pusateri of Linden, Va., and Samuel Pusateri of Butler; two sisters, Nancy Holt of Butler and Stacy Meyer of Harmony; three nieces; and four nephews.

WEST - Friends of Cynthia T. Pusateri West, who died Sunday, March 21, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at ED & DON DECARBO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 941 S. Mill St., New Castle. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Wednesday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, New Castle. The Rev. Robert Schweitzer will officiate. The procession will leave the funeral home for the church at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery, Butler.
