11:16 a.m. Sept. 11 — Police responded to a hit-and-run crash on State Route 4001 south of Chateau Lane.Police said Justin Oesterling, 28, of Butler, was hit by a vehicle's sideview mirror while he was riding a motorcycle. The other vehicle continued. Police said the other vehicle crossed lines on the road when it hit Oesterling.Police said Oesterling reported injuries of unknown severity. Police said the vehicle believed to be involved is a silver Volkswagen sedan. Anyone with information is asked to call the department at 725-285-9600.2:33 p.m. Sept. 10 — Police responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Route 8 near Bon Aire Plaza in Butler Township.Police said Grace Diaz, 19, of West Sunbury, attempted to change lanes and struck a vehicle driven by Diane Heckert, 57, of Butler. Police said there were no reported injuries.Sept. 7 — Christine J. Taggart, 50, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI, related to a vehicle that crashed June 4 into a house on the 100 block of Seneca Drive in Butler Township.Police said Taggart told officers she had taken pills earlier. Police said after arresting Taggart, they found five prescription medications inside the vehicle.Police said a later blood test showed alprazolam and fluoxetine in her system.Sept. 7 — Shauna M. Cress, 35, of Butler, was charged with drug and paraphernalia possession, related to an arrest on the 400 block of Bessemer Avenue.Police said Cress had an active warrant for arrest in Butler County, and during the arrest they found multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia as well as five corners of heroin; one corner of cocaine; a small amount of marijuana; and one stamp bag of an unknown substance.A corner contains less than a stamp bag.Police said Cress admitted to ownership of all the items.Sept. 7 — Davine M. Bailey, 20, of McKeesport, was charged with drug possession and marijuana possession related to a traffic stop on New Castle Road near Campus Lane in Butler Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle for having suspended registration and insurance cancellation. Police said Bailey was a passenger in the vehicle, and the driver admitted to officers there was marijuana under her seat.Police said during the interaction, Bailey asked for her purse from the car, which was retrieved and searched before handing it over for officer safety. Police said inside the purse were four bundles of heroin, which Bailey admitted were hers.Sept. 7 — Jason C. Blystone Jr., 23, of Butler, was charged with theft, related to stolen lottery tickets Aug. 10 from his employer.Police said a manager at Speedway in Butler Township showed officers video surveillance in which Blystone is seen scanning unpaid lottery tickets and redeeming them for $170.Police said they spoke with Blystone, who gave them a written and verbal confessions.Sept. 7 — Two people were charged following a July 24 fight at the Days Inn in Butler Township.Police charged Xzavia M. Adams, 23, of Butler, and Francis N. Drew, 26, of Butler, were charged with two counts simple assault, one count criminal mischief.Police said the two went to a Days Inn room and began fighting with two women. Police said Adams and Drew had fled by the time officers reached the scene.Police said both women from the room suffered injuries. Police said they later found Adams, who admitted her involvement to officers.
