Thursday — Police charged Patrick L. Byers, 32, of Butler, with causing a disturbance by running into the middle the road on the 500 block of Hansen Avenue without any clothes on. The call came in for a man who ingested LSD, according to a police report.Byers is accused of running onto the road from an apartment building. Officers assisted a Butler Ambulance Service crew in taking the defendant to Butler Memorial Hospital for an evaluation. He is charged with disorderly conduct.11:35 a.m. Wednesday — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck at South Benbrook Road and Greenwood Drive. The crash occurred when vehicles driven by Leah Pollard, 18, of Slippery Rock, and Carl Kraus, 87, of Pittsburgh, collided.Kraus and his passenger, Joann Kraus, 84, of Pittsburgh, both suffered minor injuries. They were taken to UPMC Passavant hospital in Cranberry Township. Their conditions were not known.

Oct. 5 — An Ohio man was charged with drunken driving in connection with a traffic stop last month in Muddy Creek Township. Steven E. Butcher, 26, of Jefferson, was stopped Sept. 27 on Route 422.Police said Butcher later was taken to the barracks for a breath test, which allegedly showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.152 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.In addition to DUI, Butcher is charged with speeding, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.Oct. 5 — Kristi L. Wetzel, 43, of Butler Township, was charged with DUI stemming from an August call for an all-terrain vehicle crash in Summit Township. The call was reported about 3:05 a.m. Aug. 22 on Geibel Road.Police said they came upon Wetzel, who told them that she had been driving an SUV and a friend was following her on an ATV, according to court documents. At some point, the ATV wrecked and the defendant stopped to administer aid.Wetzel was taken to the barracks for a breath test, which allegedly showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.10 percent. She is charged with DUI and careless driving.Sept. 30 — Christopher M. Miller, 33, of Connoquenessing Township, was charged in connection with the suspected theft of an Apple iPhone 11 earlier in the month in Parker Township. Miller is accused of reaching into a friend's pickup Sept. 5 at the Dollar General store on Parker Pike and taking her phone, valued at $1,400.Miller allegedly got into a physical altercation with the victim when she tried to retrieve the phone, according to court documents. He fled the scene. Police later found him at a campsite in Clarion County.“He related that he did take the phone,” documents said, “and throw it out of his car window while fleeing the scene.”Miller is charged with a felony count of theft. He also is charged with several summaries, including harassment, disorderly conduct, scattering rubbish and driving a vehicle without a valid inspection.Sept. 30 — Police obtained an arrest warrant for an Ohio man accused of breaking into two vehicles last year in Muddy Creek Township. Richard R. Hollenbaugh, 30, of Masury, is charged with two misdemeanor counts each of theft by unlawful taking, theft from a vehicle and criminal mischief.According to the police investigation, both of the vehicles were on the 1500 block of Route 19, and they were found with their windows broken around 5 a.m. Aug. 9, 2019. Among the items stolen from the vehicles were Nike golf shoes, a wallet, currency, a jacket, a bingo bag, and bank and credit cards.The investigation turned up a witness who was interviewed June 24, according to court documents, and identified Hollenbaugh as the thief. The witness, a woman, told police that she was with Hollenbaugh on Aug. 9, 2019. She provided police with a written account of what happened.Police noted in their criminal complaint that Hollenbaugh is being held in the Lebanon Correctional Institution, an Ohio state prison in Warren County. Online court records showed he was booked there June 22 on drug and theft charges.

11:24 p.m. Saturday — Marissa D. Simmons, 25, of Donegal Township, was arrested for driving under the influence after her pickup struck a ditch on Queenstown Road in Perry Township. Neither she nor her passenger was injured.Simmons was arraigned on charges of DUI, failing to immediately notify police of an accident, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, driving too fast for conditions and driving a vehicle with an open container of alcohol. She is free on nonmonetary bail.

Tuesday — Someone used an unknown object to put two holes into the horse logo of a business sign for Silver Spring Equine on McConnellls Mills Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The vandalism occurred between Oct. 2 and 1 p.m. Tuesday.The damage was estimated at $100. Police said their investigation continues.
