4:25 p.m. Wednesday—Andrea L. Trivett, 34, of Lyndora, was caught allegedly shoplifting $297 in merchandise at the Butler Commons' Walmart. She is charged with misdemeanor retail theft.

6:43 a.m. Monday—A vehicle driven by Jesse W. Coddington, 36, of Butler, struck a parked car and a pickup truck, both unoccupied, on the 100 block of Kohler Avenue. Coddington was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road. The vehicle's owner, April L. Coddington, 36, also of Butler, was cited for not having insurance on the vehicle.

March 10—Police obtained an arrest warrant for Jared T. Rogerson, 39, of Summit Township, on charges he illegally attempted to buy a shotgun last year at a Center Township store. He is accused of providing false information on a required background check form Nov. 24 when he tried to buy the gun at Dunham's at the Clearview Mall. Rogerson is charged with unlawfully attempting to buy a firearm, a felony, and unsworn falsification to authorities, a misdemeanor.11:20 p.m. March 7—Phillip J. Reynolds, 28, of Butler, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend at Vin & Joe's Inn on Route 38 in Summit Township. The woman told police that Reynolds struck her in the face while at the bar, according to court documents. He is accused of following her into the bathroom and slapping her in the face. He is charged with simple assault and harassment.March 5—Police charged an Allegheny County man with having heroin and crack cocaine stemming from a traffic stop last year in Buffalo Township. The defendant, Charles J. Signore Jr., 43, of Penn Hills, was pulled over on Route 28 north for traffic violations April 26, 2019. A subsequent consent search of his car, according to court documents, turned up 20 stamp bags of suspected heroin, 0.43 grams of suspected crack and a glass smoking device. Signore is charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Police also cited him for failing to use turn signals.
