10:50 p.m. Jan. 15 — Derrick Kerr, 23, of Hilliards was arrested for driving under the influence on Hansen Avenue. He was pulled over, police said, after running a red light while turning onto Whitestown Road.Police said Kerr, who had an open can of beer that was half full on the front passenger seat, was later taken for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.120 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.In addition to DUI, Kerr is charged with failing to stop at a red light and driving a vehicle with an open container of alcohol.4:32 p.m. Jan. 14 — Jessica M. Wichman, 35, was arrested after police said she kicked her mother several times in the legs during a domestic dispute at her home on Wagner Avenue. Wichman was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and given a recognizance bond.3:57 p.m. Jan. 14 — Melissa M. Cammisa, 34, of Butler Township was allegedly found with a crack pipe after police got a call for two females using drugs inside a home on American Avenue. Cammisa, who was outside the home when officers arrived, was arrested for allegedly being under the influence of drugs. A subsequent search allegedly turned up the pipe.She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.

7:02 p.m. Jan. 17 — Robert John Miller Jr., 61, of Butler was allegedly found under the influence of electronics cleaner on Alameda Road. Police said he also had two cans of cleaner on him. Miller is charged with illegal use of certain solvents and noxious substances.Butler County Drug Task ForceJan. 10 — Angela N. Hilins, 33, of Butler was charged in connection with a suspected drug deal last year in Butler. She is accused of selling 10 stamp bags of heroin to a police informant May 15, 2019 on the 500 block of West Cunningham Street. The deal was arranged by a telephone call.Hilins was arraigned on felony charges of delivery of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility, and given a recognizance bond.

8:49 a.m. Wednesday — Megan M. King, 22, of Butler was injured when the sport utility vehicle she was driving rear-ended a pickup truck that had slowed down for a red light on Route 8 at Summit Road in Center Township. Ashley B. Gamble, 34, of Evans City was the other driver.King, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered an apparent minor injury. Her SUV had to be towed and police cited her for following too closely to another vehicle.Wednesday — Chad E. Schnur, 46, of Oakland Township was arraigned on charges of driving on drugs stemming from a police call last year at a convenience store in Oakland Township. The April 12 call, police said, was for a man unconscious outside his car at the University Korner on Route 68.When police got there, according to court documents, an East Butler EMS crew was treating the defendant for an apparent overdose. Medics told police they had to administer multiple doses of Narcan to revive Schnur. A blood test at Butler Memorial Hospital later allegedly showed he had amphetamine, clonazepam, marijuana and fentanyl in his system.He was arraigned on multiple counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and released on nonmonetary bond.
