Butler Township Police10:32 a.m. Monday — Anne-Marie Crawford, 50, of Butler was injured when she lost control of her car and struck a ditch, fence and a large landscaping stone on Butler Road just east of South Duffy Road.Crawford suffered unknown injuries, but she refused medical treatment. Her passenger, Kelly Sarvey, 38, of Butler, walked away before police got there and it was not known if she was injured. The car was towed.Police cited Crawford for driving too fast for conditions.3:30 a.m. Monday — A vehicle driven by Michael Tilko, 60, of Butler hydroplaned on wet Route 422, striking a lane marker, traveling through a construction area and down an embankment. The vehicle overturned, but Tilko was not injured.Tuesday — Police charged Chelsea M. Gould, 25, of Summit Township in connection with an employee theft last month at a Butler Commons store. On four occasions between Sept. 20 and 28, Gould allegedly took merchandise valued at $213.96 from Target, where she worked.The alleged thefts were caught on surveillance video, according to court documents. Gould is charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.Tuesday — Taylor C. Stevenson, 26, of Evans City was charged with being nearly three times the state’s legal limit for alcohol stemming from a crash last month on Route 422.Police said Stevenson’s car veered off the road around 11:45 p.m. Sept. 15 and struck the back of a paver parked on the side of the road. Both the car and paver sustained extensive damage.The defendant was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which allegedly showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.236 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.He is charged with driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and reckless driving.Tuesday — Alyse M. Moore, 28, of Renfrew was charged with DUI and having marijuana at the Butler Crossing, New Castle Road. Police were called to the shopping plaza for a possible intoxicated driver who reportedly nearly struck the building at the McDonald’s restaurant drive-through.Police said they took Moore to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which allegedly showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.213 percent.An inventory search of her car, according to court documents, turned up a plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana in the center console. A marijuana pipe also was found in the console.In addition to DUI, Moore is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Tuesday — Police charged Melanie L. Ebig, 37, of Saxonburg with having marijuana and other contraband following a traffic stop around 7:07 a.m. Sept. 25 on Hansen Avenue near the Beer Zone. She is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.12:07 a.m. Oct. 7 — Thomas J. Cipolla, 36, of Butler landed in trouble with the law after police were called for an intoxicated man sitting in the middle of Hansen Avenue and Randolph Street. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.11:03 p.m. Oct. 3 — Tina M. Daniels, 39, of Lyndora was found with suspected marijuana and other contraband after she was pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 8. She is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a lighting violation, driving with a suspended license, driving without a license and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.

Penn Township PoliceSept. 30 — Joseph W. Boyd, 38, of Adams Township was charged with failing to pay for thousands of dollars worth of truck and trailer repair work done earlier this year at Jim Kriley Sales and Service on Route 8.Police said that between Feb. 1 and 12, Kriley did a combined $9,372.87 in repair work on three diesel trucks, one pickup truck and two trailers that Boyd owns. But when the business deposited Boyd’s check for that amount into its bank account, it was subsequently returned for having insufficient funds.Additionally, and before the check bounced, the defendant had another diesel truck repaired Feb. 14. He was billed $1,393.74, but did not pay for the service, according to court documents.Kriley representatives made “numerous attempts” to contact Boyd to have him pay for all the service work, according to court documents, but to no avail.Boyd is charged with one count of bad checks and seven counts of theft of services, all first-degree misdemeanors.

State Police, ButlerOct. 1 — An Allegheny County man was charged with being two-and-a-half times the state’s legal limit for alcohol in connection with a one-vehicle wreck last month on Route 228 just east of Brewer Road in Clinton Township.The defendant, Joshua G. Erdner, 39, of Bakerstown, lost control of his car around 11 p.m. Sept. 26 and struck a ditch. A breath test later showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.202 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.Erdner is charged with DUI, disregarding traffic lanes, driving too fast for conditions and careless driving.7:52 a.m. Sept. 30 — An SUV driven by Amelia G. Brown, 18, of Karns City struck a utility pole along Route 38 just north of Spring Run Road in Center Township. She was not injured.Oct. 7 — Derek L. Terrell, 38, of Summit Township was charged with drugged driving after he was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint Aug. 31 on Route 28 north at exit 17 in Buffalo Township.Police said they later took him to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which showed he had marijuana in his system.Terrell is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and careless driving.Oct. 7 — Police charged a Westmoreland County teenager with drugged driving in connection with a two-vehicle crash last month in Jefferson Township. Police said Hunter W. Hughes, 18, of Champion rear-ended a pickup truck on Route 356 at Neupert Road.He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which showed he had marijuana in his system, according to court documents.In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, Hughes is charged with following too closely to another vehicle, driving too fast for conditions, careless driving, failing to notify authorities of a change of address, and a seat belt violation.Oct. 7 — Kyle E. Nelson, 18, of Parker was charged with drugged driving stemming from an August crash in Parker, Armstrong County. Police said the teen was driving a pickup truck when he wrecked shortly before 9 p.m. Aug. 27 on South Avenue.Nelson is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, failing to keep right, careless driving and a seat belt violation.Oct. 7 — An unknown vandal damaged a mailbox at a 71-year-old man’s home on Reed Road in Clearfield Township. The damage, estimated at $100, occurred between 10 p.m. Oct. 6 and 11:25 a.m. Oct. 7.1:49 a.m. Oct. 6 — Christopher J. Erfort, 22, of Pittsburgh was arrested for driving under the influence on the 200 block of Grove City Road in Slippery Rock. He is charged with DUI, not using turn signals and careless driving.1:18 p.m. Oct. 6 — A car driven by a 17-year-old Clarks Mills, Mercer County girl struck the back of a pickup truck’s trailer on West Liberty Road in Brady Township. William D. Maloney, 67, of Guys Mills, Crawford County, was the other driver.No one was injured, but the car had to be towed. Police cited the girl, who they did not identify, with driving too fast for conditions.
