Tuesday — Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the driver in a hit-and-run crash last month that left a motorcyclist injured.

The accident occurred shortly before 7 a.m. Aug. 21 when the unknown driver in a silver Chevrolet sedan ran a stop sign at Weir Avenue and Butler Road. The car turned right onto Butler Road and traveled into the lane of a motorcycle driven by Damon M. Wentzel, 26, of Lyndora.

The car collided with the cycle's front wheel, causing Wentzel to lose control of the bike, which fell onto the road. The other driver did not stop and continued east on Butler Road. Wentzel suffered a minor injury.

Anyone with information about the driver of the car is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

Police cited Wentzel in the crash with driving without a motorcycle license and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.

10:25 p.m. Friday — Duane F. Session, 50, of Pittsburgh was caught driving with a DUI suspended license on New Castle Road. He is charged with driving during suspension-DUI related.

11:15 a.m. Aug. 29 — No one was injured in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction accident that occurred on Route 68 near Hospital Way, where a vehicle driven by Leslie Craig, 69, of Butler rear-ended a vehicle driven by Lois Edwards, 63, of Butler.

The crash caused Edwards' vehicle to hit the back of a vehicle driven by Kathleen Walker, 67, of Butler. One of the vehicles had to be towed. Police cited Craig for driving too fast for conditions.

8:01 a.m. Aug. 29 — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on New Castle Road at Point Plaza. Linda Mauthe, 61, of Butler, one of the drivers, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with a cut to her hand.

Police said Mauthe's vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Hannah M. Blair, 29, of Clarion as Blair was turning left into the shopping plaza. Blair was cited for making an improper left turn. Both vehicles had to be towed.

2:25 a.m. Sunday — An unknown male assaulted a 24-year-old Slippery Rock man in the victim's driveway in the area of Kiester Road and Bowman Lane in Slippery Rock Township. The victim suffered minor injuries. A police report provided no other information.Aug. 13 — Samantha C. McGee, 33, of West Sunbury was charged with drugged driving and having marijuana and other contraband in connection with a July traffic stop on Route 422 east in Clearfield Township.Police said a search of McGee's car turned up 4 grams of suspected marijuana, a marijuana grinder and two drug-smoking pipes. A blood test later showed she had marijuana in her system, according to court documents.She is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and failing to notify authorities of a change in address.Aug. 12 — Police charged an Armstrong County man with drunken driving stemming from a June two-vehicle crash in Clearfield Township.The defendant, Dylan G. Simmons, 20, of Ford City, told police that he may have fallen asleep before the wreck around 5:30 a.m. June 29 on Route 422 near Game Reserve Road, according to court documents.Simmons was taken for a breath test, which indicated his blood-alcohol level was 0.109 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.He is charged with driving under the influence, DUI by a minor, underage drinking, disregarding traffic lanes, driving too fast for conditions and careless driving.

1:12 p.m. Monday — Charles P. Yenick, 59, of Renfrew was one of three people injured in a two-vehicle crash in Beaver Township. The accident occurred at Route 338 and Tippecanoe Road, where a turning car collided with the pickup that Yenick was driving.Yenick and the other driver, Anna C. Lowrey, 23, of Emlenton, and Lowrey’s passenger, Caroline R. Lowrey, 20, of Emlenton, suffered apparent minor injuries. Both vehicles had to be towed.
