POLICE REPORTS

The following items were taken from various police departments:

5:07 p.m. June 27 — Cassandra Nading, 22, of Butler hit the rear of a car being driven by Krystal Shoaf, 33, of Karns City on North Duffy Road, according to court documents. This pushed Shoaf's car into a third car that was being driven by Donald White, 51, of Butler. One of the vehicles was removed from the crash site and a minor injury was reported, but a police report doesn't specify which car was disabled, nor whom was injured. Requests for comment received no response.

6:21 p.m. June 21 — Carl Leroy Toy, 29, of Kittanning was charged with retail theft after police received reports that he allegedly had stolen 10 items valued at more than $180 from the Butler Commons' Walmart.

9:10 p.m. May 30 — Shawn Lacamera, 31, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol, presenting false identification to law enforcement, hit and run, driving under suspension and several summary traffic offenses. Police were first called to a Chili's restaurant at 115 Butler Commons for a hit and run. Police said that Lacamera was spinning in circles with a truck in the restaurant's parking lot. While performing these vehicle stunts, Lacamera allegedly hit a parked car and then drove away. Police caught up to Lacamera on New Castle Road.

June 26 — Police charged Cindy L. Jack, 54, of West Sunbury with making false returns in May at the TJ Maxx store where she worked at the time.

A loss prevention officer at the store at the Butler Crossing shopping plaza reported the alleged employee theft, which occurred May 16, police said.

Jack is accused of pocketing the receipts of two customers' sales transactions and later scanning the receipts as merchandise returns, according to court documents. The allegedly fraudulent returns totaled $72.20.

Police said the defendant also removed $75 in currency from the cash register.

The alleged crimes were caught on surveillance video and Jack later admitted to the fraudulent returns, documents said.

She is charged with theft by deception and receiving stolen property.

Wednesday — Police charged a Butler County man with felony drugged driving stemming from a head-on crash last month on West Main Street.The defendant, Robert M. Codispot Jr., 31, of Clay Township, drove across two lanes and struck the other vehicle shortly after 8:30 a.m. June 13, according to a police report.In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, he is charged with careless driving and disregarding traffic lanes.12:24 p.m. June 20 — A car driven by J. Ellen Hovis, 74, of Harrisville was rear-ended by a delivery van on East Main Street at South Broad Street, according to court documents. Nathan Bee, 52, of Avella, Washington County, was the other driver.Hovis was taken to Grove City Medical Center with unknown injuries. Both vehicles had to be towed. Police cited Bee for careless driving.

2:25 p.m. June 21 — Marlin Fields, 27, of Pittsburgh allegedly punched another man in the face after going to the victim's workplace on Route 8.Police spoke to the victim at the business, an insurance office. He identified Fields as his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend, according to court documents.During the alleged assault, police said, Marlin damaged the other man's gold chain, valued at $900, and his $30 T-shirt. Hie is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

3:25 p.m. June 26 — Brett D. Zajacs, 44, of Evans City was injured when he lost control of his car and overturned on Brownsdale Road in Forward Township, police said. He was wearing a seat belt and suffered an apparent minor injury.Police cited Zajacs for disregarding traffic lanes.
