Wednesday — Crystal L. Singer, 34, of East Brady was arrested on a drug-related charge in connection with a traffic stop last month on Hansen Avenue. Police said she was a passenger in a car that was stopped around 6:10 p.m. Feb. 1 for having a faulty headlight.

During a search, court documents said, police found her with an empty, unmarked stamp bag, which is commonly used to package drugs.

District Judge Lewis Stoughton arraigned Singer on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail following arraignment.

8:50 p.m. Feb. 22 — Two children were charged with disorderly conduct following an altercation at Westwood Manor. Police did not identify the juveniles.

One of the youths physically confronted the other, according to a police report. The other youth screamed obscenities from a vehicle.

Thursday — Police reported they are investigating a case of identity theft in which an unknown suspect opened a fraudulent account Feb. 11 in the name of a Prospect man.

8:44 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Melissa R. Demeio, 42, of Renfrew rear-ended a sport utility vehicle on Route 68 north of Rose Haven Drive in Connoquenessing Township. Sara N. Habraken, 25, of New Castle was the other driver. Police said Demeio faces a ticket for following too closely to another vehicle.

Feb. 27 — Jeffrey T. Minton, 47, of Cabot was charged with being more than two-and-a-half times the state’s legal limit for alcohol stemming from a traffic stop last month in Clearfield Township. Police said they stopped him Feb. 8 for speeding and other violations on Route 422 east.

Minton admitted to drinking before driving, according to court documents. He later failed a field sobriety test and was taken for a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.210 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.

He is charged with driving under the influence, driving at an unsafe speed, disregarding traffic lanes, improper use of turn signals and careless driving.

Feb. 25 — Police charged Angela M. Pagliaroli, 34, of Summit Township with drunken driving in connection with a January one-vehicle wreck in Summit Township. She is accused of crashing her SUV into a billboard light on Freeport Road.

Pagliaroli told police that she was coming from a bar/restaurant in Butler and drove past her road, causing her to crash, according to court documents.

She allegedly failed field sobriety testing and was taken for a breath test that showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.08 percent.

Pagliaroli is charged with DUI, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.

12:34 p.m. Feb. 19 — Kieran J. Black, 35, of Portersville swerved his car to avoid a fallen stop sign on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township and struck an embankment. The vehicle rolled onto its roof.

2:22 a.m. Feb. 16 — Danielle M. Perrone, 25, of Slippery Rock was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop at Route 8 and Mahood Road in Center Township. She was pulled over for crossing the fog line and center line several times.

Police said field sobriety testing indicated Perrone was impaired, according to court documents. A breath test showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.210 percent.

In addition to DUI, she is charged with driving an unregistered vehicle, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.

State Police, Franklin

9:42 p.m. Tuesday — Austin J. Barger, 20, of Parker lost control of his minivan and slid into a tree along Bullion Road in Clinton Township. He was not hurt, but his vehicle had to be towed.

Police cited Barger for driving at an unsafe speed.

Sunday — No foul play is suspected in the death of a 23-year-old woman at her home on Blueberry Lane in Pine Township.

Anna K. Anderson’s cause and manner of death is still under investigation.

No autopsy was performed, according to Mercer County Coroner John Libonati. He and police provided no other information about the investigation.
