10:48 p.m. Saturday — William Hollefreund, 49, of Butler, was charged with driving under the influence on Meridan Road. Police said officers were dispatched for a reckless driver, located the vehicle and found Hollefreund intoxicated and incapable of safe driving.

1 p.m. Friday — Corey T. Loney, 33, of Tarentum, was charged with defiant trespass at Walmart, 400 Butler Commons. Police said Loney was seen inside the store on June 21 and 28 after being previously given a notice to stay out of the store.

5:40 p.m. Friday — Theresa A. Zorbas, 46, of Harrisville, was charged with retail theft after an incident at Walmart, 400 Butler Commons. Police said Zorbas stole assorted floor and pet food products, valued at $142.40.

10:20 a.m. Friday — Tanya Johnston, 29, of Renfrew, was charged with defiant trespass at Walmart, 400 Butler Commons. Police said Johnston was seen inside the store after being told not to be in the store.

1 p.m. Friday — Rachel Rieder, 47, of Butler, was charged with retail theft at Walmart, 400 Butler Commons. Police said Rieder stole merchandise valued at $91.49.

5 p.m. Sunday — Zyrees Y. Downing, 18, of Middletown, Del., was charged with aggravated assault at Summit Academy, 839 Herman Road, Summit Township. Police said Downing, a student, assaulted a counselor at the school. He was placed in the Butler County Prison.

4:12 p.m. Friday — No injuries were reported in a crash on New Castle Road, Prospect. Police said a 2017 Dodge Ram, no driver information was reported, was attempting to make a left turn from the Butler Fairgrounds onto New Castle Road, when the vehicle hit a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander, no driver information reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. The driver of the Ram was cited with vehicles turning left and not driving on roadways laned for traffic.

5:50 p.m. Sunday — A hit-and-run incident occurred on Black Road, Marion Township. Police said a Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck crossed over into oncoming traffic and forced a 2005 Dodge Ram, driven by a 17-year-old Slippery Rock boy, to swerve to avoid being hit. The Ram then went off the road and hit an embankment, and the Chevrolet drove off. No injuries were reported.
