Saturday — A two-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon at Route 356 and Alameda Park Road sent a woman to Butler Hospital.

Police said Russell A. Moore, 76, of Butler, was pulling onto Route 356 from Alameda Park Road when it was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by Sheldon Roxberry, 55, of Karns City. Roxberry’s passenger, Lorie L. Roxberry, 54, was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Her condition was unknown on Monday. Police said Roxberry was cited for a red light violation.

May 1 — There were no injuries in a three-vehicle crash at Whitestown Road and Young Avenue.

Police said a vehicle driven by Sara Schultz, 76, of Butler, rear ended a vehicle occupied by Donna Prokopchak, 80, and Donald Prokopchak, 82, both of Butler. Schultz’ vehicle was subsequently rear ended by Jymie Kelly, 65, of Butler.

Police said Kelly and Schultz were cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

May 1 — Four women were cited for by police for incidents at the Butler Walmart.

Katelyn Brown, 20 and Breanna Brown, 18, both of Karns City, allegedly tried to leave the store without paying for $297.90 in merchandise. The pair was charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy.

Claudia Montgomery, 22, of Butler allegedly tried to get through the self-checkout line without paying for merchandise worth $33.48.

Police said a Michigan woman, Brandy Godber, 24, of Lansing, allegedly failed to pay for $68.61 in merchandise on Sunday. She was stopped by security.

1:16 p.m. Sunday — Police arrested Frederick L. Dengg, 27, no known address, who is accused of trying to hide from a probation officer at various properties in Center Township.

Police said he fled the area before police arrived, but was later found in the woods behind a house on Elise Drive.

He was arraigned by District Judge Lewis Stoughton on burglary, flight to avoid apprehension, defiant trespass and disorderly conduct charges.

He was placed in Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail.

4:30 p.m., Wednesday — Police charged Jeffrey G. Crivelli, 56, of New Castle with DUI among other traffic related charges, stemming from an accident in Worth Township.

A breath test at the Slippery Rock University Police Department marked Crivelli’s blood alcohol content at .085 percent, police said

Police said someone on April 14 broke into Dye’s Service Station on Mercer Road in Stoneboro and stole items valued at more than $3,500. Anyone with information is asked to call Mercer State Police at 724-662-6162.
