1 p.m. Nov. 5 — Police are investigating an alleged assault at SwitchbackMX racetrack in Clay Township. Police say Mary A. Matthews, 39, of Petrolia started a physical altercation in the women’s restroom with a 54-year-old woman.

Matthews allegedly struck and chocked the victim until a 13-year-old witness helped free her. Matthews fled the scene and has avoided police contact since the incident.

12:07 a.m. Saturday — Police say Thomas C. Rob Jr., 39, of Emlenton was found to be in possession of marijuana at a residence on 7th Street in Emlenton. Police were planning to file charges.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Kittanning[/naviga:h3]

7:45 a.m. Tuesday — Police are investigating the theft of money from a resident at Sugarcreek Rest in Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County. The victim, a 76-year-old man formerly of Butler, claims that $650 was stolen from his room on Tuesday.
