6:17 p.m. April 15 — Michael P. Kominsky, 27, of Butler was arrested for flight to avoid apprehension and resisting arrest after police responded to a call about a wanted man walking in the area of Elm and East Jefferson streets.

After refusing to comply with an officer’s order to place his hands on a cruiser, Kominsky led police on a chase through yards and busy streets. A K-9 officer was used to catch him. Kominsky has an outstanding warrant from the Butler County sheriff’s office.

Brittany Lauren Souders, 28, of Butler, who was walking with Kominsky, also was picked up on an outstanding warrant from an unspecified agency.

3:56 p.m. April 13 — A car driven by Austin Hannes, 18, of Valencia and a car driven by Christina Gavula, 39, of Butler collided at the intersection of Hansen and Goldwood avenues while Hannes was turning left onto Goldwood, where a sign is posted prohibiting left turns. Hannes was cited for not obeying traffic control devices.

1:30 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Lisa Jacox, 47, of Butler sideswiped two vehicles along Hansen Avenue. Jacox reportedly fell asleep while waiting in traffic stopped for road construction. Linda Hughes, 53, residence unavailable, was taken to a hospital by personal vehicle for complaint of pain in her left side.

11 p.m. Thursday — A credit card account owned by a Renfrew resident was used to pay for $762 in merchandise from a Target store in Brooklyn, N.Y.

April 18 — Multiple outdoor power tools were stolen from the Slippery Rock Cemetery garage between 8 a.m. April 10 and 11:59 p.m. April 18.

4:54 p.m. Nov. 10, 2016 — Michael Blystone, age unavailable, of New Castle attempted to buy a firearm at Logan’s Gun Gallery on North Washington Road in Washington Township while not legally permitted to do so. Police are investigating.
