Butler Twp Police3:17 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Edward Ford, 50, of Slippery Rock veered onto the berm of Fairground Hill Road, traveling more than 300 feet before hitting a traffic sign, guard rail and a vehicle driven by Georgia Krause, 51, of Butler. Ford’s passenger, Nancy Ford, 74, of Butler was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment and released.Butler Township Fire District 3 assisted police at the scene.Tuesday — Tyler Paul Bartley, 30, of Butler was charged with materially false written statement — purchase, delivery, transfer of firearm, which is a third-degree felony, and unsworn falsification to authorities after allegedly trying to buy a firearm at the Walmart in Butler Commons on April 26 while not being permitted to purchase one due to his criminal record.
