Knoch bats bury Burrell
Sean Morgan and Logan Cypher homered and Knoch’s baseball team went on to defeat Burrell, 11-1, on Monday.
Cypher also doubled, scored three runs and had two RBI. Morgan doubled and had three RBI, Cooper Allison contributed a triple, single, two RBI and three runs scored.
Hunter Lang was the winning pitcher, striking out five in five innings.
Mars 6, Hampton 2 — Jake Johnson and Finn Seideneck both had singles and two runs scored for the Planets (8-6, 5-5). Roman Brunsell struck out four in four innings for the victory.
Charlie Bickel had a double and two RBI, Josh Maple two singles and two RBI for Mars.
Track and Field
Karlee Buterbaugh placed second in the javelin for Knoch at Friday night’s Pine-Richland Invitational.
Other placers for trhe Knights were Austin Freidlione (sixth) in the 3900-meter hurdles, Kara Fennell (sixth) in the pole vault, Neah Ewing (seventh) in the javelin and Madi Hunt (seventh) in the shot put.
