State Police, ButlerSunday — Police reported they are investigating the reported indecent assaults of two girls, ages 7 and 10, in Muddy Creek Township, between May 1 and July 31. The investigation continues but police did not release any other information.Saturday — Dennis Desensi, 52, of Butler was arrested on stalking and other charges stemming from an incident late Thursday night at a 63-year-old woman’s home in Center Township.Desensi about 10:50 p.m. allegedly cut a rope that was used to secure an air conditioner at the home on Sunset Drive. He also placed a stack of buckets behind the home’s garage door.Police said that in addition to stalking, the suspect is charged with criminal mischief, trespass and loitering and prowling at night.5:40 p.m. Friday — A 21-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the foot while checking the functionality of the firearm at a home in the 400 block of Marwood Road in Winfield Township. No one else was injured.7:45 p.m. Thursday — An 18-year-old Pittsburgh man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of drugged driving on Route 28 south in Buffalo Township.Charges of DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia are pending against the driver. Two passengers, a 19-year-old Verona, Allegheny County, man and a juvenile, were caught with suspected marijuana and drug contraband.The passengers, who police did not identify, also face drug-related charges pending lab results.5 p.m. Thursday — A student-inmate at the Western PA Child Care juvenile detention facility in Allegheny Township faces charges after she repeatedly swung at another detainee. Police said they cited the suspect, Janel M. Fleming, 19, of Baltimore, with assault and harassment.The alleged victim, a 17-year-old Philadelphia girl, who police did not identify, was apparently not injured.4:57 p.m. Thursday — Andrew P. Dahl, 22, of Slippery Rock was arrested after allegedly assaulting a 29-year-old Slippery Rock woman during a domestic dispute on Vineyard Circle in Slippery Rock Township.Dahl was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and released on $2,500 unsecured bail.Aug. 19 — An unknown burglar broke into four apartments at the University Village housing complex in Slippery Rock Township and stole a Sharp brand 43-inch television from the living room of each apartment.All of the apartments were locked but, according to a police report, there was no forced entry in any of the apartments. The apartments were broken into between 11 p.m. Aug. 18 and 6:45 a.m. Aug. 19.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Aug. 19 — Words and gestures landed a sister and brother in trouble with the law following a sibling argument on Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township.Marjorie L. Miller, 54, of Tarentum, Allegheny County is accused of making a comment toward brother Earl W. Miller, 48, of Butler “about carrying a concealed gun and not being afraid to use it,” according to a police report.Earl Miller, police said, made a “hand gesture in the shape of a gun and pointed it at his sister, the report said.Police cited both siblings with harassment.

State Police, Kittanning6:48 p.m. Saturday — Suspected heroin and other contraband were seized during a traffic stop in North Buffalo Township. The driver and three passengers, none of whom police identified, all face drug-related charges.Police said that following the stop on Route 422 just before the Graff Bridge, they arrested the driver, a 29-year-old from Reynoldsville, Jefferson County for suspicion of driving under the influence. Police searched the driver and passengers — a 33 year-old Summerville, Jefferson County woman; a 27-year-old Knox Dale, Jefferson County man; and a 27-year-old New Bethlehem, Clarion County, man — and found each of them with suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia.One of the passengers, who gave police a false name, also was found to be wanted on a warrant in Warren County.Drug-related charges against the four suspects are pending lab results, according to a police report. The driver also is facing DUI charges.6:48 p.m. Thursday — A suspected drugged driver was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 28 north in South Buffalo Township. The suspect, who police did not identify, also was found to be wanted on a warrant in Armstrong County.A search of the vehicle turned up unspecified narcotics and drug contraband, according to a police report. Charges against the driver and two passengers, who police also did not identify, are pending lab results.
