Butler Police9 a.m. Tuesday — Robert A. Morrow, 23, of Muddy Creek Township was charged with driving under the influence and a felony count of retail theft. He was allegedly impaired by alcohol or drugs when he drove to the A-Plus/Sunoco on West Jefferson Street. Police found him with three packages of cinnamon rolls he allegedly did not pay for. He is a two-time convicted shoplifter, which led to the felony retail theft charge.10:27 a.m. Monday — Beatrice V. Reott, 85, of Summit Township was hurt when a car she was driving collided with a sport utility vehicle at East Cunningham and South Cliff streets. Reott, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Anita Theiss, 63, of Butler was the other driver.3:18 p.m. Feb. 5 — Natalie N. Wulff, 18, of Chicora was hurt when the car she was driving collided with an SUV at North Monroe and East Brady streets. Wulff, who was wearing a seat belt suffered minor injuries.Police cited her for a stop sign violation. Kathy E. Dittman, 57, of Chicora was the other driver.11:11 a.m. Feb. 2 — Cars driven by Mary Tynan, 51, of Butler and Richard J. Krause, 66, of East Brady collided at North Monroe and East Brady streets. Police cited Tynan for a stop sign violation.6:40 p.m. Jan. 29 — Brandon M. Vaughan, 24, of Butler was hit by a car at Franklin and East Brady streets. An accident report did not indicate if he suffered any injuries.Vaughan told police that he was walking south on Franklin Street when the car traveled into the intersection and hit him, flipping him onto the road.The driver, William L. Helzer Jr., 38, of Butler, recounted that he was eastbound on East Brady Street and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection. He started across Franklin Street “at a slow speed,” the accident report said, and hit Vaughan, knocking him to the ground.A witness said she saw Helzer's car stop briefly before hitting Vaughan, flipping him into the air.Police cited Helzer for careless driving and a stop sign violation.

Butler Twp Police3:46 a.m. Thursday — Kelly I. Ohare, 26, of Gibsonia lost control of her car on snow-covered Route 8 south near Litman Road and crashed into a utility pole. She was not hurt but her car had to be towed away.Police cited Ohare for driving too fast for conditions.1:26 p.m. Tuesday — Victor T. Rikal Jr., 49, of Butler lost control of his vehicle, traveled up an embankment and ended up against several trees along Fairground Hill Road. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.12:57 p.m. Saturday — Justin L. Tincha, 31, of Lyndora was nabbed with suspected drug contraband after he was arrested on unrelated warrants at a home in Lyndora. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrants. Police also charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia.2:19 a.m. Saturday — Trever J. Bravenec, 19, of Greenville, Mercer County, was caught with suspected marijuana and other contraband following a traffic stop at New Castle and Alameda Park roads.Bravenec is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.11:28 a.m. Feb. 3 — A car driven by Stella M. Rape, 76, of Butler rear-ended another vehicle on Benbrook Road at Route 68. Police cited her for careless driving. Tom Gilliland, 56, of Butler was the other driver.5 p.m. Feb. 1 — Kayleigh Ann Senopole, 30, of Chicora was caught allegedly failing to pay for seven items valued at $37 at one of the self-checkout registers at the Butler Commons' Walmart. Police noted that she had been barred from the store stemming from a previous shoplifting incident.A five-time convicted shoplifter, Senopole is charged with felony retail theft and misdemeanor trespass.

Grove City Police3:48 p.m. Tuesday — Joyce R. Isles, 55, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after she crashed her vehicle at West Pine and South Center Streets.Feb. 6 — An unknown suspect made off with a cell phone that the owner apparently lost in an alleyway near Coffaro's Pizza on South Broad Street. The victim told police the phone was taken between 1:45 and 6 p.m.The phone is described as a black, Apple iPhone 6s. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.Feb. 4 — Brian Fiedler, 28, and Nicholas Robinson, 20, both of Grove were charged with disorderly conduct stemming from a fight last month.Police said the men got involved in a mutual fight about 7:40 p.m. Jan. 29 at a parking lot in the 200 block of West Main Street. Both men are charged with disorderly conduct.Feb. 4 — Police cited two Grove City High School students for a fight at the school Jan. 28. The boys, both 17, are both charged with disorderly conduct.

State Police, Butler8 a.m. Thursday — A motorcycle belonging to an Indiana County church that was stolen more than three decades ago, turned up on McIntire Lane in Buffalo Township.Police said the 1978 Harley-Davidson cycle was reported stolen in 1982. The Basic Bible Church of Indiana, Pa., owns the bike.While conducting a vehicle identification number check, according to a police report, troopers found that the frame displayed the VIN tag of the stolen Harley-Davidson.Police said their theft-related investigation continues.7:27 p.m. Wednesday — A traffic stop in Buffalo Township nabbed two Elk County teenagers with dozens of stamp bags of suspected heroin. The suspects — a 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, both of Ridgway — claimed they were lost when a trooper found their vehicle parked on Ralston Road and First Avenue.The officer, while speaking to the couple, who police did not identify, noticed suspected drug contraband in the vehicle. The man, the driver, appeared to be impaired.A search of the teens turned up 41 bags of suspected heroin, a small amount of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.The man was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township for a blood tests. Charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and drug possession are pending lab results, according to a police report.11:40 p.m. Tuesday — Tamili Smith, 49, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 38 in Center Township.10:28 a.m. Tuesday — Two young burglars were caught red handed after breaking into a home on Buttercup Lane in Brady Township. The woman who lives there confronted the boy and girl, both 15, and called authorities.The suspects, who police did not identify, are charged in juvenile court with burglary.

State Police, Kittanning10:53 a.m. Tuesday — Bleu J. Cullin, 42, of Butler lost control of her car and crashed on snow-covered Route 28 in Fawn Township, Allegheny County. The car slid off the road and into the grass median before spinning around and hitting a guide wire.Police cited Cullin for driving fast too for conditions.Saturday — An unknown thief stole a 100-gallon propane tank from outside a home on Allegheny Avenue in Pine Township, Armstrong County. The tank was labeled “Beatty LP Gas” and had a serial number on it. The theft happened between December and Saturday. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-543-2011.

State Police, Mercer12:15 p.m. Wednesday — Natalie A. Braham. 29, of Cranberry Township lost control of her sport utility vehicle on Scrubgrass Road at Stoneboro Road in Wolf Creek Township and struck an embankment.9:30 a.m. Wednesday — A tractor-trailer driven by James H. Frantz, 60, of Sarver was rear-ended by a car on Route 19 at Rodgers Hill Road in Coolspring Township. Police said the other driver, Joshua L. Irwin, 36, of Greenville, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.7:42 a.m. Wednesday — Leesa K. Miess, 47, of Mercer crashed when a front wheel broke apart after the SUV she was driving ran over an unknown object on Route 208 in Springfield Township.8:15 p.m. Feb. 4 — A 15-year-old boy is accused of allegedly sexually assaulting two other boys, ages 15 and 17, at the George Junior Republic juvenile detention facility in Pine Township, Mercer County. The suspect, who police did not identify, is charged in juvenile court with indecent sexual assault.1:50 p.m. Jan. 27 — Four people, two of them young children, were hurt in a two-car collision in Springfield Township. The crash happened when Rnad S. Ramahi, 35, of Youngstown, Ohio, lost control of his car and struck the other vehicle on Interstate 79.Ramahi's car rolled over into a wooded area and landed on its roof. The other car, driven by Thomas G. Flynn, 69, of Sharon ended in the same wooded area but on its wheels.Ramahi and his passengers, two Youngstown girls who police did not identify, were taken to Grove City Medical with minor injuries. Flynn was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Both passengers were in child safety seats.Police said Ramahi was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.

State Police, New CastleJan. 28 — An unknown identity thief fraudulently used a credit card belonging to a 40-year-old man from Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The card was used twice to make $209.84 in purchases.
