Butler Township Police

3:39 p.m. Thursday — Albert Warnick Jr., 63, of Butler lost control of his vehicle on Pittsburgh Road near Armco Hill and struck a barrier after slush from a passing car covered his windshield.

1:43 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Charles Feitl, 50, of Boyers crashed along Delwood Road.

Police said icy conditions and bald tires caused the accident. Feitl was cited for having bald tires.

11:51 a.m. Tuesday — A vehicle driven by William E. Roberts, 25, of Butler collided with a vehicle driven by Kathleen J. McCool, 65, of Butler on Route 8 near the Picklegate Crossing.

Police said Roberts lost control of his vehicle and hit the left side of McCool’s vehicle. Roberts was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with injuries. Both vehicles were towed.

Roberts was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

10:30 p.m. Monday — Christopher D. Gaiser, 31, of Boyers was charged with retail theft after allegedly attempting to steal a vacuum and a coffee maker from Walmart.

The value of the items was $264.

10:25 p.m. Jan. 16 — Zachary D. Flora, 24, of Carrolltown, Pa., was arrested for suspected DUI, possession of a prohibited offensive weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 422.

Police said Flora was originally pulled over for an expired registration, but was found allegedly under the influence of a combination of controlled substances.
