Tree house collapse injures boy
ADAMS TWP — A 16-year-old boy was injured Saturday afternoon when a tree house collapsed at a home on Kaufman Run Boulevard, authorities said.
The boy reportedly had a piece of wood impaled in his hip area and was “bleeding uncontrollably,” according to a 911 call about 5:48 p.m. It was not immediately known if the teen was in the tree house at the time.
Quality Ambulance was called and took the boy, who was not identified, to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, authorities said. His condition was not known this morning.
The Adams Area Fire District was initially called but was canceled before they got to the home.
