Bruin woman arraigned on drug charges

BRUIN — A 50-year-old borough woman is accused of selling 10 stamp bags of heroin to a police informant last year, state police said.

Deborah L. Ealy was arraigned Monday on felony and misdemeanor drug-related charges. She is free on $25,000 bail.

The suspect and informant on July 30 set up a controlled drug buy in which Ealy allegedly agreed to sell the heroin for $200, according to court documents.

The informant went to Ealy's School Street home and allegedly bought the drugs while police conducted surveillance nearby.

The state police crime lab later determined the defendant had sold .027 grams of heroin, documents said.

Ealy is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility.

A preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday at the office of District Judge Lewis Stoughton in Chicora.
