Thursday — Police arrested Joel Fobes, 26, of Lyndora in connection with using a Highfield resident's stolen credit card at Wal-Mart in Butler Commons on Feb. 20 and 21. Fobes was arraigned on charges of conspiracy and attempted access device fraud. He is free on his own recognizance.

Wednesday — A plastic mailbox marked with the number 196 was found on Smith Road in Winfield Township. The owner can claim the property by calling police at 724-284-8100.Tuesday — Police filed felony and other charges against Tracy May Woodruff, 30, of Center Township, who is accused of using a friend's checking account to electronically transfer $429.84 to pay her cell phone bill.Woodruff told police, according to court documents, that the alleged victim "had left a bank deposit slip in her car and that (the suspect) used the account information from the bank deposit slip to pay her overdue Verizon phone bill."The defendant is charged with criminal trespass, theft and access device fraud.
