11:09 p.m. Thursday — A garbage truck driven by James R. Koegler, 43, of Karns City was struck by a hit-and-run driver at the intersection of South McKean and East Wayne streets, sustaining minor damage. The suspect vehicle is a white passenger car, possibly a Chevrolet Malibu, with a flat tire, front-end damage and a female driver. Koegler was not injured.

Wednesday — A vehicle owned by David Fend was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Butler Commons. The suspect vehicle is a white pickup truck with a 5th wheel. Any one with information should call police at 724-285-9600.

12:05 a.m. Thursday — David Lee Kinney, 47, of Slippery Rock was charged with DUI following a traffic stop on Liberty Street.Oct. 23 — Earl L. Franklin III, 29, of Grove City was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking after he allegedly entered an office at 131½ S. Broad St. and stole $50 from a money box.

9:15 p.m. Thursday — Raymond Diehl, 36, of Butler was charged with aggravated assault and harassment after he allegedly injured Dawn Deveraux, 39, of Butler during a domestic dispute at a 287 Chicora Road apartment in Oakland Township, then pushed an officer attempting to arrest him. Diehl allegedly continued to resist arrest until he was subdued with a Taser.7 p.m. Wednesday — Police are searching for a 16-year-old boy who ran away from his Hughes Road home in Venango Township. The boy was last seen wearing blue jeans, a T-shirt and green-and-white shoes.8:10 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Kacey L. Criley, 19, of Butler crashed into a drainage culvert along Hinchberger Road in Summit Township. Criley was wearing a seat belt and suffered a minor injury to her wrist. She was cited for careless driving.Wednesday — Someone stole a Craftsman air compressor with a yellow hose from a home along Blue Jay Drive in Connoquenessing Township. The equipment, valued at $400, is owned by Donna Allshouse of Butler11:30 a.m. Tuesday — Cody R. Howard, 18, of Slippery Rock was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after he was found walking along Route 138 following a disturbance on Dingel Road in Clay Township.11:50 p.m. Monday — Someone driving a white Ford dump truck with a black dump bed stole 80 squares of Owens Corning Pro 30 shingles belonging to Butler Siding and Window Outlet from the business' location along New Castle Road in Franklin Township. Any one with information can call police at 724-284-8100.12:30 a.m. Sunday — Someone broke into a home at 105 Slater Lane in Oakland Township by smashing a window on the basement door, stealing $70 and a Nintendo Wii video game system belonging to Ronald Slater of Oakland Township between 6 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 a.m. Sunday. Anyone with information can call police at 724-284-8100.9:39 p.m. Saturday — Tyler P. Green, 20, of Chicora was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police allegedly found a marijuana pipe in his vehicle following a traffic stop on Spitzer Road in Concord Township.

An SUV driven by Ashley M. Greco, 17, of New Castle and a truck driven by Watson V. Smith, 82, of Portersville collided at the intersection of Center Church Road and Route 388 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Both drivers were uninjured.State Police, Clarion10 a.m. Wednesday — Someone stole two silver-and-gold watches belonging to Ronald P. Houser and two rings belonging to Cynthia Webber, both of Rimersburg, from a residence along Huey Road in Toby Township. Anyone with information can call police at 814-226-1710.

7:15 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by Alison M. Brink, 26, of Mount Pleasant, a car driven by Crystal G. Stirling, 26, of Butler and a car driven by Lily N. Giancola, 27, of North Huntingdon collided on Route 28 near Ravine Street in O'Hara Township, Allegheny County. Stirling suffered a minor injury, Both other drivers and Giancola's passenger Alicia A. DiBenedetto, 26, of Pittsburgh were not injured. Brink was cited for careless driving.5:50 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Kenneth W. Shaffer, 18, of Adrian and a car driven by Sarah M. Young, 20, of West Sunbury collided at the intersection of Route 422 and Mushroom Farm Road in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County. Both drivers suffered minor injuries. Shaffer was cited for failure to yield right-of-way when turning left and failure to wear a safety belt.6 p.m. Tuesday — A van driven by Lorna L. Sovel, 49, of Sarver struck a deer on Route 28 near Exit 11 in O'Hara Township, Allegheny County. Sovel was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
