1:39 a.m. today — Steven Allan Casper, 49, of Butler Township was arrested for driving under the influence on West Cunningham Street.

11:07 a.m. Monday — Vehicles driven by Michael Alkire, 46, and Brandon Huffman, 18, both of Butler, collided at Dutchtown and Old Plank roads. Alkire was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital after complaining of neck pain.7:11 a.m. Monday — A vehicle driven by Nicholas Dollak, 19, and a garbage truck driven by Paul Morrison, 44, both of Butler, collided along South Eberhart Road.5:17 p.m. Sept. 18 — Donna McKissick, 40, of Butler and a 17-year-old Butler girl each were charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy after they allegedly left the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons without paying for merchandise.

6:21 p.m. Monday—A couch fell out of the bed of a pickup truck and struck the windshield of an oncoming sport utility vehicle on Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township.Verna M. Richards, 57, of Harrisville, who was driving the SUV, was not injured. The unknown pickup driver did not stop.Monday — Someone between Saturday and Monday broke the lock cover of a soda machine at the Trader Horn store on Route 38 in Eau Claire. The damage was estimated at $100.Monday — Police reportedly are searching for a homeless woman accused of stealing a check from a Prospect woman's home. The suspect, 34-year-old Christina Johnson, later allegedly forged the check and tried to cash it. Johnson faces charges of theft and forgery.

1:38 p.m. Sept. 21 — A car driven by Wendell M. Gray, 39, of Edison, N.J., rear-ended a sport utility vehicle on Route 68 in Madison Township. Gray was cited for following too closely to the SUV, which was driven by Mary L. Potts, 70, of3 Chicora.

4:30 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Matthew W. Christy, 16, of Grove City crashed into a ditch on Irishtown Road near Chestnut Ridge Road in Pine Township.12:31 p.m. Monday — Cars driven by James L. McDowell, 92, and Raymond P. Baselj Jr., 51, both of Grove City, collided on Irishtown Road near Route 208 in Pine Township. Baselj, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury.2:20 p.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Robert C. Moore, 18, of Slippery Rock struck a utility pole along North Liberty Road in Liberty Township. Moore, who was wearing a seat belt, and a 4-year-old Grove City boy riding in a child safety seat in the truck, were treated Grove City Medical Center for minor injuries. Moore was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
