5:05 p.m. Saturday — Sport utility vehicles driven by Karen Spohn, 45, of Butler and J.J. Almendariz, 25, of Penn Township collided on New Castle Street.3:17 p.m. Dec. 6 — A car driven by Harry Miller, 80, of Mars struck a parked car on West Cunningham Street.

3:31 p.m. Wednesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Jacob D. Hughes, 17, of Harrisville and a pickup truck driven by James C. Anderson, 27, of Chicora collided at Route 58 and McDonald Street. Hughes was cited for a stop sign violation.

Saturday — Police caught a 16-year-old boy who escaped about 10 a.m. from the George Junior Republic Juvenile detention facility in Pine Township.Saturday — About $500 worth of property was stolen from a garage in a burglary at a Scrubgrass Road home in Wolf Creek Township. The break-in happened between Dec. 6 and 11.

1:15 a.m. Saturday—Edward R. Gaw III, 21, of Gibsonia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was found sleeping in his vehicle on Interstate 80 on Beaver Township.Friday — A Remington .204-caliber rifle with a Bushnell scope worth $2,000 was stolen from a sport utility vehicle parked at Savellli’s Bar in Toby Township. The unknown thief broke a passenger side window to get into the vehicle.
