Mars Area School Board approved a number of items Tuesday, including:

- Advertising for 2021-22 athletic bids

- A resolution approving the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV 2021-22 budget and intergovernmental agreement

- A service agreement with UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital for 2021-22

- The 2021-22 district calendar

- Adopting seven local educational agency policies through for Midwestern Intermediate Unite IV for the 2021-22 year

- Lease agreements with the Mars Youth Lacrosse Association, Mars Girls Youth Lacrosse Association and Mars Area Baseball Association

- A low bid of $381,579 from Bur Mac Commercial Roofing for the primary center ballast roof replacement project

- An internship agreement with Edinboro University of Pennsylvania for the school psychology program

- Carly Trefethern as a school psychologist intern for 2021-22

- Mars Backstop Club as a school-affiliated organization

- Leave for an unnamed employee

- Kimberly Spencer as an elementary secretary, with salary and benefits totaling $37,013.

The board had executive sessions before and after the meeting for legal and personnel matters.
