10:54 p.m. Monday — Benjamin J. Vincent, 42, and Terry W. Tribble, 32, face charges stemming from a fight at their West Jefferson Street apartment. Both men were injured in the altercation.Police found Vincent bleeding from the head. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment. Tribble was cut on the hand but refused medical treatment.Both men are charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.11:20 p.m. Monday — A man and woman wanted on warrants were arrested following a traffic stop on West Cunningham Street.Police stopped the vehicle after the driver, James A. Cogley, 30, of Butler Township, allegedly did not stop at a flashing red light at Fourth Avenue and New Castle Street.He was cited for the traffic light violation and for driving with a suspended license.Officers arrested two passengers, Philip A. Campbell, 28, no known address, and Dezeray Angerette, 25, of Butler Township, on warrants issued to police. Campbell also was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia for a suspected drug pipe he had in the vehicle.
11:45 p.m. Sunday — Joseph A. Rock, 24, of East Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on New Castle Road.Butler County DUI Task ForceSunday — Twelve people were arrested for driving under the influence and 51 were cited for underage drinking during roving DUI patrols conducted during the weekend in ButlerCounty.In all, 204 vehicles were stopped. Officers issued 102 traffic tickets and 101 warnings for vehicle code violations. Additionally, officers issued three summary criminal citations and served two warrants.
Sunday — Three young men face charges stemming from a fight outside South Rock Apartments in Slippery Rock Township. Cited for disorderly conduct were Akeem Satterfield, 18, of Erie; and William J. Thompson Jr., 18, and Emmanuel J. Cottrell, 19, both of Clairton, Allegheny County.12:50 p.m. March 11 — Robert J. Duffield, 26, of Washington Township is accused of breaking into a Clay Township home and stealing a PlayStation 3 video game console, including the controllers and games.Duffield allegedly entered Arnold Christy's Delu Road home through the basement door, according to court documents. The suspect is charged with burglary, trespass and theft.
5 a.m. Monday — Two Clarion County boys were hurt when one of the teens lost control of a sport utility vehicle and crashed on Madison Shop Road in Madison Township. The SUV rolled onto its roof.Police said a passenger, a 15-year-old Shippenville boy, was thrown out of the vehicle. He suffered moderate injuries. The 16-year-old driver, of Callensburg, suffered a minor injury. Neither teen was wearing a seat belt.Both boys, a police report said, fled the scene, leaving the SUVbehind. The report also noted that the 15-year-old had taken the SUV from his home without the owner's permission. He faces a charge for unauthorized use of a vehicle.The older boy was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
