Genevieve Davis,

daughter of Tom and Barbara Davis of East Brady, has been accepted to Gannon University for the fall 2005 semester.

A senior at Karns City High School, she plans to major in legal studies/paralegal.

At Karns City, Davis is a member of the National Honor Society, student council and the Spanish club, where she served as vice president. She also participates in the Big Brother/Big Sister program, peer leadership and SADD.

Alysa Bachman,

daughter of Roger Bachman of Saxonburg and Kathy Hines of Butler, has been awarded the Maree McKay/Esther Smiley Academic Alumni Scholarship at Slippery Rock University.

A junior majoring in psychology, she plans to pursue a degree in law.

Jeff Paroli,

son of Bob and Vicky Paroli of Butler, has been accepted to the semester abroad program at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

A junior political science major, he will spend a semester in London and complete an internship with the British government.

At the university, Paroli is a member of the Young Republicans, the Student Senate, the College Judiciary Board and the Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honor Fraternity.

Four students from Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School have been accepted to participate in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Region II Band Festival Feb. 16 to 19 at Harbor Creek High School.

Participating students include alto clarinet players,

Jolene Cornelius and Harley Schreiber; cornet player, Trevor Hile; and tuba player Eli Terwilliger.
