Phil Troutman of Cabot were recently named recipients of the Haller Enterprise Award at Thiel College.The award is presented to Thiel students who have created a business that is in operation and creating revenue.Guthrie is currently involved in opening a cemetery monument cleaning business. The son of Sharon Osgood of Emlenton, he is pursuing a degree in business administration.Troutman is the owner of New View Designs, which creates computer graphics and Web sites. The son of Michael and Sandra Troutman of Cabot, he is also pursuing a degree in business administration.---

Adam Dawson, the son of Walter and Linda Dawson of Butler, was one of the 193 Merchant Marine Academy students who marched in the inaugural parade for President George W. Bush in January.A graduate of Knoch High School, he is a midshipman at the academy.---

Robert Covert, the son of Scott and Michele Covert of Chicora, was recently awarded the Michael Jude Woods and Tracy Kimes Woods Family Trustee Scholarship and the Phillips Scholarship, both from Penn State Erie, the Behrend College.A 2002 graduate of Butler High School, he is a junior biology major at the college.---

Mehalso Scholarship and the Michael Jude Woods and Tracy Kimes Woods Family Trustee Scholarship, both from Penn State Erie, the Behrend College.A 2002 graduate of Mars High School, she is a junior majoring in biology.---

Amanda Hughes, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hughes of Butler, was recently elected into membership into the Gamma of Virginia Chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa honors society at Washington and Lee University.---

Paul McCartney, the son of Mark and Joan McCartney of Saxonburg, has been accepted into the Golden Key International Honour Society at Duquesne University.A junior accounting major, he is a 2002 graduate of Knoch High School.McCartney is also a member of the Beta Alpha Psi honor society for accounting students and the Beta Alpha Phi business honor society and a former member of the Phi Eta Sigma honor society for freshmen students.
