Daniel Nebel, son of David and Denise Nebel of Butler, was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Butler Health System.A 2005 honor graduate of Butler High School, he was a member of the National Honor Society, president of the French Club and was named to Who's Who Among American High School Students.He was also awarded the Outstanding Foreign Language Student Scholarship by the Butler Women's Club.Nebel is currently a freshman at Penn State University, pursuing a degree in psychology.---
The Concordia Lutheran Ministries' Scholarship Fund recently awarded scholarships to three of its part-time food service employees at Concordia Haven Apartments.The scholarships were presented to<b>Megan Hook</b> of Saxonburg,<b>Amber Demek</b> of Cabot and <b>Rachel Frye</b> of Sarver.Hook, a 2002 graduate of Knoch High School, is pursuing a degree in psychology at Slippery Rock University.Demek, a 2004 graduate of Knoch High School, is pursuing a degree in nursing at Butler County Community College.Frye is a 2003 graduate of Freeport High School. She is attending BC3, pursuing a degree in graphics art.
