Jessica Sheakley, daughter of Baxter and Joyce Sheakley of Butler, has been awarded the Linnan/Brown Recognition Scholarship at Clarion University.A junior secondary mathematics education major, she is a graduate of Butler High School.Several students at Center Township Elementary School in grades 2 and 3 were recently recognized for reaching their reading goals for the past summer.The school's Parent Teacher Organization provided funding for the books, and the students who reached their goals received gift certificates donated by local businesses.Students recognized included
