Bonnie Kobylinski

Bonnie Lou Kobylinski, 79, formerly of Prospect, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, surrounded by her seven loving children.

Born Dec. 2, 1941, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Marjorie Schultz Meyen.

She earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at Northwestern University, where she met her soulmate, Thaddeus P. Kobylinski. They married April 8, 1967, and had seven children.

After moving to Pittsburgh, she earned a master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University in mathematics.

Bonnie was a dedicated wife and mother. She worked as an electrical engineer and later as a teacher with Pittsburgh Public Schools, before dedicating her life to raising her children and running the family dairy farm.

Bonnie loved making jewelry and other handmade crafts, and seeing the joy they brought to her family and friends. She was an avid reader and puzzle builder.

She is survived by her seven children, Elizabeth Sabol of Fox Chapel; Dr. Maria S. Kobylinski, M.D., of Winfield, Pa.; Christina E. Stoudt of Northampton, Pa.; David M. Kobylinski Esq., and his partner, Chelidha Keller, of Fox Chapel; Dr. Maggie J.K. Fehrman, Ph.D. and her spouse, Joel Fehrman, of Atlanta, Ga.; Peter T. Kobylinski Esq. and his wife, Sarah Kobylinski, of South Park; and Katherine A. Kobylinski of Prospect; eight grandchildren, Abigail Stoudt, Caitlin Stoudt, Lauren Sabol, Stephen Sabol, Tristan Kobylinski, Kaeli Kobylinski, Zenon Kobylinski and Violet Kobylinski; her brother, Tom Meyen; her nephews, Thomas and David Meyen; and her niece, Kathy Meyen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Thaddeus “Tad” P. Kobylinski, who passed away March 6, 2020; her brother, Larry Meyen; her niece, Carrie Meyen; and her son-in-law, Richard Stoudt.

KOBYLINSKI — A Mass of Christian burial for Bonnie Lou Kobylinski, who died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, will be celebrated at noon Friday at St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Prospect, with the Rev. Adam M. Verona officiating.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 387 Main St., Prospect, where the family will privately accept flowers before Mass.

A mask or appropriate facial covering is required to attend, and social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Prospect.
