U.S. Rep. Phil English, R-3rd, recently nominated 19 students from the 3rd Congressional District to attend the four U.S. military academies.

Of those, three are from Butler County and one is from Grove City.

Brian Arroyo of Cabot and Timothy Gruber of Grove City were among eight students nominated for admission to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.

Students nominated for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. included Adam Kowalski and Zachary Macurek, both of Butler.

After nomination, the students must await the final selection process completed by each academy.

"The students that I am nominating exemplify the top-notch, well-rounded candidates the academies admit," said English in a press release.
