Dandoy

Justin Dandoy, son of Bob and Julie Dandoy of Butler, has been elected president of the Student Senate of Clarion University for the 2006-07 school year.Dandoy has also been named one of 10 Outstanding Greek Leaders in the Northeastern States by the Northeast Greek Leadership Association. He also received the award for Outstanding Greek Leader at Clarion University.Dandoy was also named Best Actor in a Musical for his performance in the Clarion University Theater production of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change."A2003 graduate of Butler High School, Dandoy is pursuing a degree in political science.———

<B>Adam Miller</B>, son of Michael and Carla Miller of Butler, has been named an Honor Student with Distinction at Butler High School.While at the high school, Miller participated in varsity baseball and the National Honor Society.He was named to Who's Who Among American High School Students and the National Society of High School Scholars. He is the recipient of the Gertrude Reed National Honors Society Scholarship, the Tedd Hogg Scholarship, Varsity Baseball Hustle and Sprit Award and the Butler Tornado Baseball Academic Scholarship.Miller plans to attend St. Vincent College to pursue a degree in biology, pre-dentistry.———

<B>Matthew Shuster</B>, son of James and Pamela Shuster of Butler, has been named an Honor Student with Distinction at Butler High School.While in high school, Shuster participated in the Tornado Big Band, Model UN, the Golden Tornado Marching Band and the National Honor Society.He was awarded a Gold Academic Achievement Award, the Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation Award, The Who's Who Among American High School Students Honor Award, the Model UN Excellent Delegate Award and the Support Personnel Scholarship.Shuster plans to attend Penn State Erie, TheBehrend College, where he will pursue a degree in electrical engineering and participate in the Schreyer Honors College.———

<B>Samantha Karns</B>, daughter of Gary and Beverly Karns of Butler, has been named an Honor Student with Distinction at Butler High School.While at the high school Karns was active in varsity basketball and the Japanese Club.She is the recipient of a varsity basketball letter and an academic achievement award.She plans to attend Butler County Community College to pursue a degree in computer-aided drafting.———

<B>Stefanie Cumberledge</B>, daughter of Rob and Jane Cumberledge of Evans City, has been named an Honor Student with Distinction at Butler High School.She is also the recipient of a Gold Achievement Award.Cumberledge plans to attend Messiah College to major in mathematics.———

<B>Karissa Morrow</B>, daughter of Dale and Deb Morrow of Petrolia, received the Quality Life Services Health Care Scholarship from the Armstrong County Community Foundation.Arecent graduate of Butler County Community College and Karns City High School, she plans to pursue a degree in nursing at Butler County Community College.———

<B>Clay Campbell</B>, son of Walter and Carolyn Campbell of West Sunbury, has been accepted to the Corps of Cadets program at Norwich University. He plans to pursue a degree in criminology.———Rich-Mar Rotary handed out more than $8,000 at the recent graduation ceremonies of the Pine-Richland and Mars Area school districts.Receiving scholarship awards from Mars High School were <B>Hanna Taggart </B>and <B>Elise Ferguson</B>.———

<B>Courtney McClain</B>, daughter of Gordon and Sharon McClain of Saxonburg, has been accepted to the University of Findlay for the 2006-07 academic year.A 2006 graduate of Knoch High School, she plans to major in equestrian studies.McClain was awarded the Dean's Scholarship from the university.———

<B>Krista Mershimer</B>, daughter of Thomas and Lisa Mershimer of Cranberry Township, has been accepted to Gannon University for the fall 2006 semester.A graduate of Seneca Valley High School, she participated in the National Honor Society and Venture Crew. She is the recipient of the Genco Teammate Scholarship and the Girl Scouts of America Silver Award.Mershimer plans to major in biology in secondary education.
