Hindman

Callie Hindman, daughter of Jim and Cindy Hindman of Butler, has been named and All-American Scholar by the United States Achievement Academy.Astudent at Butler High School, she will appear in the All-American Scholar Yearbook.———

<B>Joseph Kasprzyk</B>, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kasprzyk of Center Township, has been named vice president of the Pennsylvania State University chapter of Chi Epsilon, the civil engineering honor society. He also has been elected as senior adviser for the student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers.He attended the ASCE's workshop for student chapter leaders in Boston, where he interacted with students and ASCEmembers from around the Northeast, including the national president and president-elect.He has been named recipient of the Fred and Kit Bigony Engineering Scholarship and was named to the dean's list for both semesters of the 2005-06 academic year.He is a 2003 graduate of Butler High School.———

<B>Robert Allen</B>, son of Fred and Carol Allen of Butler, has enrolled in the College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University for the fall term.He is a recent graduate of Butler High School.———

Two Butler High School graduates have been named the recipients of the 2006 Rosanne Cavalero and Jane Cavalero scholarships.<B>Sarah Schubert</B> and <B>Matthew Feder</B> were awarded scholarships worth $7,014 each. The scholarships are awarded to the male and female BHS students with the top grade point averages in their graduating class.Schubert is the daughter of Fred and Dianne Maihle of Butler. She plans to study cell biology/biochemistry at Bucknell University.Feder is the son of Harold and June Feder of Butler. He plans to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering at Bucknell University.———

Five area students were selected for membership in Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society.<B>Jill Barker </B>of Cranberry Township; <B>Wendi Dawson</B> and <B>Elizabeth Elliot</B>, both of Sarver; <B>Neil Hartshorne</B> of West Sunbury; and <B>Katie McKeever</B> of Butler were inducted into the society recently.———

<B>Anna Bullman</B>, daughter of Sherry Bullman of Chicora and Don Bullman of Butler, has been accepted at Butler County Community College in the nursing program.Arecent graduate of Karns City High School, she was a member of the volleyball team and track team.
