4:50 p.m. Thursday — Abbi R. Cochran, 20, of Butler was arrested on a warrant after she was caught allegedly shoplifting $87 worth of cosmetics and other items at the Kmart store in Pullman Square.State police, who issued the warrant, were looking for Cochran in connection with the July 10 break-in of her ex-boyfriend's house in Concord Township.11:56 p.m. Saturday — David J. Hudak, 40, was arrested after allegedly assaulting his 17-year-old daughter during a domestic dispute at his Mackey Avenue home. Hudak is charged with simple assault.10 p.m. Saturday — Jeffrey A. Blystone, 48, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his wife, 37-year-old Deanna Blystone, during a domestic dispute at the couple's Morton Avenue home. Blystone is charged with simple assault.8:47 p.m. Saturday — Joshua P. Luchkiw, 25, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on East Jefferson Street. A breath test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.259 percent, or more than three times the 0.08 percent limit for alcohol under state law, according to a police report.Daniel J. Hrycko, 27, of Butler, a passenger in Luchkiw's vehicle, was cited for public drunkenness.

3:20 a.m. Thursday — An unidentified dark blue or black, late model minivan struck a pickup truck at New Castle and Duffy roads, and did not stop after the crash. Police said they are looking for the unknown driver of the van. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run crash is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.Police said Lorraine Cole, 49, of Butler was driving the pickup.6:58 p.m. Wednesday — Gregory Smith, 42, of Mercer was cited for careless driving after a three-vehicle accident at Meridian Road and Lawrence Avenue, according to a police report. Police said Smith's vehicle struck a car driven by Steven Cozad of Slippery Rock. Following the collision, Cozad's vehicle hit a vehicle driven by Terry Baldauf, 55, of Butler.8:20 p.m. Tuesday — Ruth Ann Finch, 44, of Butler was arrested on a warrant after she was caught allegedly shoplifting clothing items from the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. Finch was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant issued out of Venango County. Police also charged her with retail theft.

5:41 p.m. Wednesday — A misbehaving dog was blamed for Nicole R. Anderson, 24, of Evans City losing control of her car and crashing into an embankment on Interstate 80 in Lackawannock Township. The accident happened when Anderson's dog jumped from the rear seat into the front as Anderson was changing lanes. No charges were filed in the crash.

Saturday — Several unspecified items were stolen in a burglary at a home on Houk Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The break-in happened between 10 a.m. Aug. 5 and 4 p.m. Saturday.
