PennDOT displays project plans

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is virtually displaying plans for replacing two bridges in Callery Borough and Adams Township from Jan. 18 to Feb. 5.

One project involves replacing the bridge that carries Kline Avenue (Route 3014) over Breakneck Creek in Callery.

The existing bridge is a 40-foot-long concrete arch bridge that will be replaced with a steel rolled beam bridge. Additional work will include guardrail updates, approach pavement replacement and utility relocations. Traffic will be detoured during the replacement. PennDOT has not determined when the project will begin.

The second project involves replacing the bridge that carries Mars Evans City Road (Route 3015) over an unnamed tributary to Breakneck Creek in Callery Borough and Adams Township.

The existing structure consists of an approximately 12-foot steel pipe culvert that will be replaced with a concrete box culvert. Traffic will be maintained during construction using temporary traffic signals. Additional work will include guardrail updates, approach pavement replacement, new signing and pavement markings, and utility relocations. PennDOT has not determined when the project will begin.
