Monday — Police accused Arthur Eric Anderson, 59, of Butler of soliciting sex from a 15-year-old as she walked to her bus stop at the corner of Liberty and Quarry streets last week.The suspect approached the girl about 7:20 a.m. Friday, according to court documents, "grabbed her by the arm and asked her to have sex with him." When the girl declined, Anderson allegedly offered to pay her for sex. She fled and was unharmed.Anderson is charged with corruption of minors and disorderly conduct.Monday — A window was discovered broken at the Emily Brittain Elementary School on North Washington Street. The apparent vandalism happened over the weekend.
Monday — An unknown burglar between 4:30 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday broke into several buildings at Bradley McCullough Park on Davis Road in Oakland Township. Police said the buildings were damaged; however, no property was reported taken.1:13 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Nellie L. Brookes, 78, and a minivan driven by Michael A. Nanni, 44, both of Butler, collided on Glenwood Way in Center Township. Police said Brookes was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.May 4 — A car driven by Susan G. Mountain, 48, of New Castle crashed and rolled over several times on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Mountain was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Police said she was cited for careless driving.May 1 — A Motorola Droid cell phone and an Apple iPod Touch mp3 player were stolen from a car in the Clearview Mall parking lot in Center Township. The theft happened between 8 and 10 p.m.4:32 a.m. April 24 — About $1,800 worth of equipment was stolen in a burglary at Mickey's Tattoo Studio on Route 422 in Franklin Township.
