CHESWICK — Former Butler YMCA swimmer Mallory Marzolf, a freshman on the Chatham University swim team, has been named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week.

Marzolf claimed three individual wins at Saint Vincent Friday, setting a school-record time of 24.67 seconds in the 50 freestyle. She also won the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke.

WAYNESBURG — Butler graduate Caleb Baxter, a freshman on the Waynesburg University wrestling team, was named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Rookie Wrestler of the Week.

The 174-pound Baxter went 3-0 with three pins last week, two of the pins coming in the first period.

The Butler County Community College men’s basketball team dropped a 113-81 decision to Montgomery (Md.) recently.

Joel Stutz had 21 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for BC3 while Brendan Record scored 19 points. Justice Lewandowski had 13 points and seven rebounds, Jace Stutz seven rebounds.
