[naviga:h3]Farm to Table dinner planned for March 4[/naviga:h3]

The annual Butler County Farm to Table dinner will be March 4 at the General Butler Vagabonds Center in Lyndora.

Sponsored by the Butler County Conservation District, Penn State Extension, Butler County Farm Bureau, U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency and AgChoice Farm Credit, the dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served at 6 p.m.

The evening’s program, “Growing for New Markets: Craft Beverage, Value-Added and a Flourishing Restaurant/Brew Pub Industry in Pennsylvania,” will be presented by Maria Graziani, extension educator.

Conservation district awards and the winner of the annual Bullshipper’s Award will be announced.

Tickets cost $15 per person and must be purchased by Feb. 25 at the conservation district office, 122 McCune Drive, Butler, or by calling the office at 724-284-5270.

[naviga:h3]Shelter reservations available Feb. 22[/naviga:h3]

The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will begin accepting picnic shelter reservations for Alameda Park from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Feb. 22 at the county Government Center.

Beginning at 1 p.m. Feb. 23, all reservations must be made at the park office between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
