CRANBERRY TWP — Four suspects implicated in an alleged retail theft incident in December have waived their charges to county court.

Police say Brandon P. Henderson, 28, of Butler; Robert J. Russell, 33, of Smithton, Westmoreland County; Jennifer L. Russell, 35, of Belle Vernon, Fayette County; and Lance Chacko, 33, of Monongahela, Washington County, attempted to leave the township Walmart with $3,746 worth of merchandise without paying.

Police also found in their vehicle a white hat with a syringe and a metal spoon inside it. Jennifer Russell also allegedly had an empty stamp bag in her purse.

The four face felony charges of conspiracy, retail theft, destroying inventory control tags and receiving stolen property.

Henderson also was charged with possession of an instrument of crime after he was found with a razor blade, allegedly used to cut security devices.

Jennifer Russell will be arraigned in county court on Feb. 21.

The other three will be arraigned in county court on March 14 after an issuance for continuation was approved.
