Flecken's injunction made permanent
Butler School District's injunction against an Allegheny County man accused of posting a threat online will be permanent.
Per the injunction request filed last week, Bryan Flecken, 28, of Bridgeville is prohibited from coming within one mile of any Butler School District property and is prohibited from attending any sporting events, concerts or other events where Butler students will be in attendance.
Flecken is facing two misdemeanor terroristic threat charges for allegedly writing that he was going to “shoot up” one of the Butler schools in a Facebook threat about two weeks ago.
Though a civil hearing was scheduled Tuesday afternoon before Judge Marilyn Horan, the attorneys settled the matter out of court, said Tom King, Butler school solicitor.
The permanent injunction will be filed after Flecken and his attorney sign the papers and return them to Butler County Court, King said.
The district did not seek money in the civil case, though its attorney has been in contact with police and prosecutors and may seek restitution as part of the criminal proceedings, King said.
The alleged threat caused the district to spend time and money, King said.
“We had administrators working on other things and they had to stop and deal with this,” he said.
Flecken's attorney, Giuseppe Rosselli, did not immediately return a call for comment Tuesday.
